Hawkesbridge Private Equity manages over $200 million in private equity funds for institutional investors. Hawkesbridge invests in management buyout and expansion capital opportunities.
As a Managing Partner, Joshua is responsible for the fund raising activities of the management company as well as originating, managing and exiting investments. He is currently a Director of Australian International Hospitality Pty Ltd, Environmental Technologies Group Ltd and Recovre Holdings Pty Ltd.
Joshua joined Hawkesbridge from Thames Capital, a boutique investment bank where he had spent three years on a range of private equity transactions in the technology, environmental and resources sectors predominately working with buyers and investors from North America and Australia.
From 1996-1999 he worked for Andersen Legal in Sydney where he specialised in corporate and commercial law and worked on a number of large buy-side transactions for mainly overseas clients acquiring Australian companies in the technology, media, communications, logistics and financial services sectors. Joshua completed a Bachelor of Law degree from Bond University, Queensland and was admitted as a solicitor of NSW in 1997. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Graduate Diploma from Murdoch University, Perth, majoring in Environmental Science.
As a Managing Partner, David is responsible for originating, managing and exiting investments. He is currently Chairman of Australian Beverage Holdings Pty Ltd and HVBS Pty Ltd.
He is also a Director of BHA Holdings Pty Ltd, Integrated Premises Services Ltd and Australian International Hospitality Pty Ltd. Previous directorships have included RecruitASP Pty Ltd and Smarttrack Pty Ltd.
David has over 13 years experience in private equity and strategy consulting. During this time he has advised clients in Australia, South East Asia, North America and Europe on corporate strategy, restructuring, acquisitions and disposals, capital raising and commercialisation.
His industry experience includes telecommunications, technology, financial services, utilities and professional services.
Prior to joining Hawkesbridge, David was a Manager with Mainsheet Corporate in their Sydney office, a Consultant with Arthur D. Little in their Strategy & Organisation practice in South East Asia and a Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Communications, Utilities and Transport Strategy practice in Melbourne.
David holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School, a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
As Partner, Portfolio Operations, Mark is responsible for implementing business plans, budgets and financial reporting systems in Hawkesbridge portfolio companies.
Mark is currently a Director of Recovre Holdings Pty Ltd and Australian Beverage Holdings Pty Ltd.He is a member of the Hawkesbridge Investment Committee and is also responsible for leading financial due diligence on potential investee companies.
Mark has over 20 years experience in financial reporting, business planning and corporate restructuring. Initially, Mark focused on financial modeling and corporate restructuring working for PriceWaterhouseCoopers (UK) and Deloitte Touche Tomatsu (USA).
Mark subsequently worked as a CFO in a range of organisations. During his career, Mark has worked with multinational corporations in the UK, USA, Luxembourg, Denmark and Australia.
Mark has proven experience as a senior finance executive having performed the roles of Chief Financial Officer for the UK Radio Operations of the British Broadcasting Corporation; Chief Financial Officer for Millicom International Cellular; a NASDAQ listed mobile phone operator with operations in 16 countries; and End2End, Europe's leading managed service provider for mobile data services and content as well as being CFO and an advisor to a number of start-up and early stage companies.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Manchester University (UK) and a Masters of Science in Renewable Energy Systems from Reading University (UK). He is a member of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants in Australia and England & Wales and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
As an Associate Director, Brendan is responsible for deal origination and screening; transaction execution (including managing external advisors during the due diligence process); managing and monitoring the investment portfolio and managing the exit of investments.
Brendan is currently a Director of BHA Holdings Pty Ltd and Environmental Technologies Group Pty Ltd.
Brendan spent a number of years as an Executive with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in the Corporate Advisory, Restructuring, Project Finance and Investment Banking team. During this time, he was involved in a number of prominent Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects, M&A transactions, due diligence assignments and business reviews.
Brendan holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in both Accounting and Economics from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Brendan is an Associate Member of the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA) and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
As Partner and Chief Financial Officer, Rosemary has overall responsibility for the financial management and reporting of the management company and the investment vehicles managed by Hawkesbridge.
Prior to joining Hawkesbridge Rosemary was financial controller for Trinity Venture Capital - a VC based in Dublin specialising in early stage high tech investments. She has over 10 years experience in financial services, in practice as a Chartered Accountant, and in industry. In Sydney she has worked for AMP Asset Management and Macquarie Bank.
Rosemary is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and holds a degree in Economics and Social Studies from Trinity College Dublin.
As the Hawkesbridge Office Manager, Michelle is responsible for running the day to day affairs of the whole office and assisting in the accounts department alongside of Rosemary Nolan.
Michelle is also Personal Assistant to both Managing Partners; Joshua Rowe and David Plumridge.
Prior to joining Hawkesbridge, Michelle was an Exam Booking Coordinator with Tribeca Learning which involved booking exams for students both at internal and external venues.
